Problem [Solved] - Unable to Update VoC Survey Responses via Workflow

Voice of the Customer: Version 9.0.1371.8

Problem

After an upgrade from Dynamics 365 8.2 to 9.1 we up upgraded the voice of the Customer Solution to the latest version.

This caused all workflows which were configured to update survey responses to fail with the error shown below.

Solution

I raised a support ticket with Microsoft and there advise was to disable the steps for the plugin Microsoft.Crm.Surveys.Plugins.RespondentName.Plugin.

Now all affected workflows succeed.

I haven't noticed any repercussions of disabling this workflow and I have asked Microsoft if there are any and for more details on what it does. So I'll update the post accordingly as and when I find out.

Update: 14th March 2019

Microsoft replied to inform me that the error had been fixed in a further update of the Voice of the Customer solution. I applied the update and all is well.

So, it seems to have been fixed in Voice of the Customer version 9.0.1438.4
